Even ReCore’s minimum requirements are enough to keep older PCs on their toes, requiring 8GB of RAM, a GPU with at least 2GB of memory, and an Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7 – and at least an i5-4460 running at 2.7GHz, or AMD FX-6300.

The recommended specs aren’t too far ahead of the required specs, which is good news if you’re planning on running and jumping through the robot-infested wasteland on Windows 10.

Microsoft recommends at least 16GB of RAM, a video card with 4GB of memory – either an Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9. On the CPU side of things, Microsoft recommends an Intel Core i5 4590 running at 3.9GHZ, or the AMD equivalent.

The upcoming action-puzzler puts players on the off-world colony “Far Eden,” after protagonist Joule Adams wakes from cryo-sleep to find that nothing has gone according to plan. And there are robots. Seriously, there are robots everywhere.
It’s safe to say that ReCore is a robot-centric experience, allowing players to befriend and upgrade Joule’s robot companions with blueprints scattered throughout Far Eden.
ReCore is written by Joseph Staten, the scribe behind Destiny and the original entries in the Halo Series, and produced by Keiji Inafune the creator of the Lost Planet and Dead Rising series. Oh and the director, Mark Pacini, is responsible for the Metroid Prime series.
Whether or not ReCore will live up to its impressive pedigree remains to be seen, but we’ll find out soon enough.
ReCore comes out on September 13, on Xbox One and Windows 10.
