Users are beginning to feel anxious on their iPhone 6s and 6s Plus deliveries while some users are acquainted with emails for delayed package due to Pope Francis' visit. The new iPhone has a lot of features to brag about. For instance, a new way to interact using the 3D Touch. The 3D Touch opens up new dimensions for control as it tends to pop out several events, respective of the app you are in. On the Home screen, 3D Touch performs actions to open shortcuts related to the app. It is also responsible for activating Live Photos and previewing web pages on several locations.
However, these are not the only features dependent upon the 3D Touch technology. Apple has also integrated 3D Touch in the keyboard that lets it act as a trackpadwhen appropriate actions are applied to the display. A lot of people don't know about this feature. The purpose of this feature is to assist users on placing the cursor on the desired spot with ease and more.
Let's see what more actions can 3D Touch perform on the keyboard.
3D Touch Turns Your Keyboard Into A Trackpad
This handy feature assists users while typing in any app. The trackpadmode is activated when you firmly press the display while typing. This allows users to move around the cursor for editing reasons or more. Thisis a neat way of getting between words and letters as it took a lot of effort in the previous generation iPhones. Once you press the display firmly, trackpadmode is activated, pressing it even harder lets users select text which can be further used in cutting or copying.
Henceforth, with this 3D Touch technology on the iPhone 6s, users don't have to fumble around the display to get between the right words and failing. In the early betas of iOS 9, Apple had activated this feature for older iPhones. Users would just place both their thumbs on the keyboard and it will act as a trackpad. However, Apple removed this feature for unknown reasons. Right now, no other iPhone other than the 6s and 6s Plus can perform this feature which is really annoying.
Users with jailbroken iOS devices have a better chance of getting this feature in the form of a jailbreak tweakin the future. Hopefully, developers will realize this soon enough if iOS 9 is jailbreaked. Do you think using your keyboard as a trackpad is the best way to interact with text? Let us know in the comments.
