Microsoft has today announced and released a big update forWindows 10, and the company has gone on record to state that it's their first major update to the OS since its release. More details on the update and how to download it can be found right here.

Microsoft is working round the clock to ensure that it delivers the best Windows experience there is, and today's update to Windows 10 is a testament to that. The new update is packed to the rafters with an insane amount of bug fixes and performance enhancements, and Microsoft says that after this update "we have reached the point in the platform’s maturity where we can confidently recommend Windows 10 deployment to whole organizations." That's a bold statementif you're asking us.

On the performance front, Microsoft claims that the new update they have pushed out today boots up 30% faster than Windows 7 running on the same PC, which is awesome news for every type of user. Furthermore, the Microsoft Edge browser now features enhanced security and performance, and things are topped off with tab previews. Cortana has gotten an update too, and now lets you scribblein the Cortana Notebook using a stylus.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, and Microsoft has also revealed that there are a ton of other improvements littered throughout this new update, with apps such as "Mail, Calendar, Photos, Groove, Xbox, Store, OneNote, Solitaire" being the beneficiaries, among countless others.

Other improvements reside on the enterprise side of the OS, and Microsoft claims that deploying its OS is now better than ever and it gives administrators more control over how things work out, making Windows 10 ideal for the workplace.

Lastly, Microsoft also revealed that Windows 10 will start rolling out to select mobile devices today, while Windows 10 for Xbox One will also start hitting download servers today as well, the details for which we covered earlier today.

Grabbing the newly released November update is easy, and will be installed onto your Windows 10 PC if you have automatic updates enabled. If not, then simply open the Start Menu, click on 'Settings' then 'Update & Security.' In the list of available options select 'Windows Update' and you're good to go from here.
