tvOS 11 Beta 3 has been released for developers working on Apple TV software. Here's how you can update right away.

Along with other software, tvOS 11 got some love today from Apple, pushing it to Beta 3. When compared to tvOS 11 Beta 2, you might not find anything new at face value, but that doesn't mean you should skip out on the update entirely.

Kick things off by powering on your Apple TV 4, then following the steps below.

Open the Settings app.Now select System.Now select Software Updates.Download the available update.

Apple TV updates aren't that huge therefore the entire process won't take more than a few minutes. Just make sure you don't fiddle around with the Apple TV during this process.

tvOS 11 is not a big upgrade at all on top of tvOS 10. In fact, Apple didn't even talk about the software on stage at WWDC 2017. But it did drop a hint that something exciting is coming later this year for the platform. Whether that's this software update, or a 4K enabled Apple TV, remains to be seen. In the meantime, make sure your software is all up to date on all your devices.
