The story of Android has always been whether a phone running the said OS will get the next update or not. And no one knows this better than the unfortunate adopters of Sony Ericsson's X10. It came out with a horribly outdated version of Android (1.6) and it took a PR nightmare to convince Sony Ericsson to have it updated to Froyo (2.2). However all is not lost and it seems as if there's life in the old dog. The X10 is now reportedly getting its much awaited Gingerbread update which was announced a couple of months ago. For the time being though this update is only for users outside USA.
