Need to send your current location to someone using your Apple Watch? It's super easy and we will show you how to do it.
Send and Share Your Current Location to Someone Right from Your Wrist Using Apple Watch
Though some might find it insanely evil, but location sharing is something which can prove to be a life saver for a lot of people. Tons of apps and services rely on it such as Uber, Google Maps and whatnot, and you even have the option to share your current location with someone if you want to tell them exactly where you are. It's super convenient if you are using an iPhone and little do people know that they can do the same using their Apple Watch too. Excited? Lift your wrist and let's get started.
Tutorial
Note: Please make sure that your Location Services are turned on for this to work. Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and enable the Location Services toggle switch at the top.
Step 1. Launch the Messages app on your Apple Watch.
Step 2. Open up the conversation in which you want to share your location. You may create a new one if you like.
Step 3. Now Force Touch on the display to reveal more options.
Step 4. Tap on Send Location.
Step 5. After a few seconds, your Apple Watch will grab your current location and send it off to the user in the conversation thread.
And that's how you share your location with someone using Apple Watch. And as mentioned at the start of this tutorial, please make sure that your Location Services are turned on from your iPhone. If they aren't then none of this magic is going to happen.
While this all seems pretty straight forward, but you'll be surprised to learn that you can't send your current location to anyone using Siri. It doesn't work on Apple Watch, nor on iPhone or iPad. We're guessing it has something to do with privacy and we respect that. Although it would be nice if you could do it using your voice.
