Android Pay is one nifty service when it comes to card-less payments. However, Google has been lagging a little behind when it comes to gaining the support of many banks. The tech giant has been struggling to get them onboard, but it managed to get one prominent service that could be an ice breaker. PayPal support for Android Pay has finally gone live.

PayPal has finally opened its service for Android Pay, for all the users. Just like other cards that pop-up on Android Pay, PayPal will also be displayed as a payment option and it would work on every NFC terminal. You will also be able to set PayPal as the default payment option. When used, PayPal will deduct the amount from your existing balance or the connected cards. So, this way, you will be able to use any credit or debit card via PayPal on Android Pay.

To start using this service right away, you would first need to download the latest PayPal app update from the Play Store. After installing the update, you just have to enter your PayPal account details and then follow the steps that are mentioned below.

How to link PayPal with Android Pay

Open the PayPal app and then head to its SettingsThen tap on Android Pay SettingsNow, link your PayPal account with Android PayYou will now be asked to set an In-Store PIN numberEnter a top-up amount and thenselect a preferred account to pull funds from

After completing the steps mentioned above, you will now be able to use PayPal on Android Pay. Remember, the In-Store PIN number that you had set-up while linking the PayPal account would act as your PIN for authentication during checkout at payment terminals. Also, the top-up amount is just to keep some balance in your PayPal account. During check out, the amount will automatically pull funds from your bank account in case the top-up amount is lesser than the payment amount.

Using PayPal on Android Pay is a cakewalk, and you will be able to use it just like any other card on the app.
