AT&T's BOGO offer on iPhone 7 goes live

AT&T's first 2017 BOGO deal goes live today, offering a free iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to any customer who gets one iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. The deal is also applicable on Android phones, including the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7.

"We are excited to offer our customers our first BOGO of the year. It includes options for everyone, including business customers,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Entertainment Group. "Plus, these smartphones allow you to do more of what you love, like streaming your favorite shows data-free using the DIRECTV app, Fullscreen2 or DIRECTV Now."

Wondering what you have to do to score a free flagshipsmartphone with the purchase of a new phone? You need to buy an iPhone 7 (or any of the other devices included in the offer) on AT&T Next or Next Every Year. Then you can add a line to your account and get the second device. The carrier is offering a total of $695 in monthly credits to cover the cost of the second device.

"Customers purchasing devices through this offer will receive monthly bill credits for the free device over 24 to 30 months, totaling up to $695," the company said in an announcementpost. It should be noted that taxes would be applicableonyour second phone.

Also available to new customers

If you are not on AT&T but are ready to switch, you could be eligible for $650 in credit which will then be applied toward the payment of your first phone.

New AT&T4 wireless customers can also take advantage of our $650 in credits for switching wireless providers, and can choose to use the credit towards the purchase of their first device.

AT&T Buy One Get One promotion is a limited time offer, so you will have to rush to the closest AT&T store or its online store to avail the offer.

Note: AT&T's press release doesn't list the "three popular smartphones" that are part of this promotion, but reports suggest that iPhone 7, LG G5 and Galaxy S7 are indeed included in the latest BOGO promotion.
