Minisforum teased a brand-new product which is said to be the world's first 2-in-1 Windows AI tablet featuring next-gen AMD Ryzen APUs.

Minisforum To Enter High-Performance Tablet Market With 2-in-1 Windows AI Design Powered By Next-Gen AMD Ryzen APUs

During its event yesterday, the company presented a range of new products such as the UM790 XTX Mini PC and the new Mini-ITX PCs powered by Intel Raptor Lake-HX & AMD Dragon Range-HX CPUs. But that's not all, the PC manufacturer is also keen on entering the high-performance tablet space with a brand-new product powered by AMD Ryzen APUs.

Teased as what will be the world's first 2-in-1 Windows Tablet with Ryzen AI capabilities, the tablet will have a deeper focus on offering customers a range of AI capabilities & development tools such as:

Office 365 CopilotAzure OpenAIAzure AI StudioAzure AI Content SafetyMicrosoft Fabric

Being a 2-in-1 Windows Tablet design, the Minisforum product will also ship with a stylus that attaches to the tablet using a magnetic surface and a portable keyboard for ease of use when you want a laptop-oriented workspace. Minisforum has also highlighted that this product will be a very high-performance tablet that will be equipped with AMD's Ryzen APUs.

Minisforum did state that the tablet will be using the next-gen AMD Ryzen APUs & will be available in Q1 2024. We know that AMD currently offers Phoenix APUs under the Ryzen 7040 series but the company will also be introducing next-gen chips under the Ryzen 8000 "Strix" family in the coming year along with refreshing its existing Phoenix portfolio. If that's the case, then we are most likely to get even better performance and AI capabilities with the newest iteration of AMD APUs. We can't wait to see the final tablet and its specifications and more details should be expected around CES 2024.
