Now that we're done with the iPhone X's launch, a lot of questions are on everyone's mind. The biggest of these is undoubtedly on how well the device compares against current, in-market flagships. The four best flagship smartphones out there the Samsung Galaxy S8+, Sony's Xperia XZ Premium, the Galaxy Note 8 and the LG V30. So how well does the iPhone X stack against these heavy hitters? Take a look below to find out more.
iPhone X Vs Galaxy S8+ Vs Note 8 Vs LG V30 And The Xperia XZ Premium; Specifications, Features, Design Analyzed
The advent of 10nm and edge to edge OLED displays on smartphones this year have changed things by a lot. Our devices aren't what they used to be just a year back. We've got better design, better performance, better features and better everything else. Now as the iPhone X is out, the only remaining flagships for the year are Google's Pixel 2 smartphones. So let's take a look at which device comes on top and where.
Starting from performance, all the Android devices feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. The processor clocks 2.45 (big cluster x 4 cores) and 1.95 (LITTLE cluster x 4 cores) for the LG V30 and the XZ Premium. Samsung's Galaxy lineup features a slightly under-clocked variant at 2.35Ghz for the big cluster. Frequency remains constant for the LITTLE cores. Apple's iPhone X features the 10nm A11 which is rumored to clock at 2.5GHz, making it higher on paper. However, it features six cores in total, so multi-core results might favor Android.

Moving to design, all the devices feature edge to edge displays, except the Xperia XZ Premium. Samsung's S8+ and LG's V30 have near identical fronts, save the former being a bit wider. The Note 8 has the sharpest corners for the trio while the XZ Premium continues with the lineup's rectangular approach. The XZ, S8+ and Note 8 feature Corning glass 5 backs, and all three devices are IP68 certified. The iPhone X is iP67 certified. It also features a glass back, and ends up with a different take on the front. In addition to the button free display, the iPhone X has a neat cutout at the top for Face ID. This blends in seamlessly with its frame. More importantly, it also creates an all new design template for Apple to work with.
Finally, the Xperia XZ Premium wins hands down with the rear camera specifications. It features a 19MP sensor. But the rest of Androids (save the S8+) feature a dual camera setup, with resolutions 16MP and 12MP and 12MP for the V30 and Note 8 respectively. The iPhone X also features a 12MP rear dual camera, but Apple's also added AR in the mix. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned.
