Apple hit the jackpot as far as the sale numbers of the iPhone X go. With the holiday season starting shortly after the official release of the edge-to-edge smartphone, the period at which the tech company made the announcement could not have been better, with analysts detailing that around 6 million units of the iPhone X were sold during Black Friday.

Buyers Preferred the 256GB Model of the iPhone X - Exact Sale Numbers of This Model Are Not Detailed

According to Street Insider, a Rosenblatt China Technology analyst states that with Apple having increased production of the iPhone X, around 15 million units were cumulatively sold during Black Friday, out of which 6 million units belonged to Apple’s flagship phone.

Thanks to ongoing software and app updates, the 64GB storage model might not suffice for buyers in the long run, hence the popularity of the 256GB model might have increased.

“Rosenblatt China Technology analyst, Jun Zhang, reiterated his Buy rating on shares of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and believes that iPhone X production increased to 3 million units/week and could increase to 4 million units/week in December. This would put the company ahead of schedule at a time when ASPs could be improving as well.

The analyst also believes that iPhone X sell through remained solid through Black Friday with 15 million units sold so far including 6 million iPhone X units but demand for the 256GB model appears to be twice that of the 64GB model which would be a positive for ASP and gross margin as well as units.”
