The iOS 9.1 beta 2 update is available to everyone enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, which requires a $99 annual fee to sign up. If you're a diehard Apple fan, then we highly recommend that you invest in an Apple Developer Program membership, because it will grant you access to pre-release software way before anyone else.

iOS 9.1 beta 2 is a pure bug fix and performance enhancing release, but if we do find something drastically new in the pre-release build, then we'll definitely highlight it for all of our readers.

If you're running iOS 9.1 beta 1 on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then we highly recommend that you update your device straight away to reap the benefits of Apple's brand new beta software. Simply launch the Settings app and navigate to General > Software Update. Hit the download and install button and you're good to go. You'll be required to restart your device after the update, so be patient as things roll over.

If you're starting fresh, then simply head over to the Apple Developer Program website to download the pre-release software for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Once you've downloaded the beta 2 IPSW for your device, simply restore using iTunes.

Also keep in mind that since iOS 9.1 is currently in its beta phases, therefore it's highly recommended that you do not install the software on a device which is your daily driver. You never know what kind of roadblocks you might end up hitting.

iOS 9.1 is meant for Apple's brand new iPad Pro tablet, which features a mammoth 12.9-inch display. But along with the iPad Pro, Apple will also be releasing iOS 9.1 for other devices as well, which includes all the iPhones, iPads and iPod touches.

It's likely that the final version of iOS 9.1 will be available for everyone to download when the iPad Pro starts shipping out to customers. So don't expect the update to arrive at our doors any time soon.

If you're a non-developer, then you can too try out iOS 9.1 beta on your device as the software is available for testing via Apple's Beta Software Program. For more details, make sure you check out:iOS 9.1 Public Beta Now Available, Here’s How To Download It Right Now.
