New benchmarks of Intel's Core i5-14400 & Core i3-14100 CPUs which are part of the 14th Gen Non-K family have been leaked by ECSM_Official. The leaker also reveals the launch date set for CES 2024.
Intel's 14th Gen Non-K Core i5-14400 & Core i3-14100 CPUs Tested, Hit Maximum Turbo Clocks At Sub 100W TDPs
Enthusiast Citizen previously leaked the benchmarks of Intel's Core i5-14600 and now has two more additions to his leaking spree which include the Core i5-14400 and the Core i3-14100. The leaker also points out that Intel will be launching the chips on 8th January following its CES 2024 announcement. The chips will be available in retail on the same day alongside budget-oriented motherboards.

As for the specifications of the two chips that have been leaked, the Intel Core i5-14400 is a 10-core SKU featuring 6 P-cores & 4 E-Cores with 16 threads. It features a base clock of 2.5 GHz, a boost clock of 4.7 GHz, 20 MB of L3 cache, 9.5 MB of L2 cache, and a 65W TDP.
The Intel Core i3-14100 is an entry-level SKU with only 4 P-cores and 8 threads. It carries 12 MB of L3, 5 MB of L2 cache, a base clock of 3.5 GHz, a boost clock of 4.7 GHz, and a 65W TDP. Both chips will be priced similarly to their existing 13th Gen variants so that's around $221 US for the i5 and $109 US for the i3 variant.

Both CPUs were tested under CPU-z and Cinebench R23 benchmarks while stress tests were conducted in the AIDA64 "CPU FPU" test".

The Intel Core i3-14100 reached a maximum all-core boost clock of 4.5 GHz at 68.75W while the Core i5-14400 reached a maximum all-core boost of 4.10 GHz (3.5 GHz E-Core) at a 84.75W TDP. In terms of performance, the 200 MHz increase in clock speed nets a minimal performance improvement but given that you are paying the same for these chips as the 13th Gen SKUs, it should be a good deal unless the 13th Gen chips end up being priced lower. The benchmarks are listed in the charts below:

Intel's 14th Gen Non-K lineup will be competing against the latest additions from AMD to its AM4 & AM5 family which target the budget segment. AMD has new Ryzen 5000 chips including X3D parts that should retain a solid lead over the 14th Gen Non-K CPUs in gaming while the Ryzen 8000G APU family is going to take up a notch, offering solid Zen 4 performance coupled with RDNA 3 graphics.
