1. Launch the Settings app.

3. Under 'Fingerprints' you'll see how many fingers you have registered for use with Touch ID. Assuming you have only your thumb registered to be used with Touch ID, tap on 'Add a Fingerprint' and register the very same thumb once again. If you have your index finger of your right hand already registered, then register it once again. Basically, you're going to register your already registered finger once more with Touch ID without removing the first entry.

That's it, you're all done and set. Whenever you unlock your device or authorize an App Store or iTunes purchase, you'll notice that Touch ID is much more quicker to respond and works like brand new once again. And yes, you can register the same fingerprint thrice if you so wish. The option is there, and it definitely works its wonders.
