The Do Not Disturb feature in iOS 7(introduced in iOS 6) is supposed to keep our iPad or the iPhone silent always regardless of us using it. But sometimes even when we keep our Apple device in Do Not Disturb mode, it beeps and sends notification sound when we are using the device. Do Not Disturb in iOS 7 has specific settings to enable to make it never send you loud notifications.

There are times when we are using our devices while someone else is sleeping with us, or in the office during meetings. During those hours, although we want [and have] to use the device, we surely do not want to get blasted with rings and beeps.

How to set Do Not Disturb in iOS 7:

To enable Do Not Disturb in iOS 7 to not annoy you with rings, here is how to tweak the setting:

Go toSettingsapp and tap onDo Not Disturb.Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and set silence toAlways - by default it is set toOnly While iPhone Is Locked.

do not disturb in ios 7Once enabled, Do Not Disturb will empower you to use your Apple devices based on iOS 7 in a room with sleeping people, during a meeting or while travelling, with no fear of rings blasting out and startling everyone around.

Locked or in use, Apple devices will stay silent with this one setting enabled in iOS 7. Happy using!
