Hacker Demonstrates iOS 10 Beta 8 Jailbreak On An iPad-January 2024
Jan 4, 2025 9:45 PM

Apple updated its iOS firmware to version 9.3.5 a while back. The update was not a major one considering the inclusion of any front-facing features. However, if you possess a jailbroken status, updating to the latest firmware would have killed it. Now, there's a new video posted by the infamous Luca Todesco, demonstrating an iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak. The jailbreak is called 'yaluX' and it works on devices with an A7 or higher (arm64) processor. Let's see some more details on the subject.

Luca Todesco Shows Off A Working iOS 10 Beta 8 Jailbreak On iPad Pro

This is not the first time that iOS 10 jailbreak has been demonstrated in a video. Previously, iH8Sn0w and the Pangu team have both shown interest in the iOS 10 jailbreak. However, we're unsure whether it will be released once iOS 10 is publicly available and running. Nonetheless, let's see the iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak demonstration.

The iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak video posted by Todesco could be an inside job and probably would not be released to the public. However, taking a closer look at the video, we can see that the jailbreak is being demonstrated on what seems to be a 9.7-inch iPad Pro. One of the important things to note here is that iOS 10 can be jailbroken despite of Apple's kernal patch protection. Check out the video below for more details on iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak.

Moreover, the iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak demonstration shows all the signs of being a semi-untethered, the same as Pangu's iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak. To clear our point, we can see that the Cydia app was already present on the Home screen before the jailbreak process. Moreover, it would crash until the hacker repeated the jailbreak process again by opening the jailbreak app.

Moreover, Todesco notes on Twitter that of all the work he has put into the iOS jailbreak, the Cydia app "wants to remove itself" from the Home screen. The reason for this is currently unknown. Nonetheless, Todesco will look into it and probably update further. It's most certain that this iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak will not see the daylight, so don't keep your hopes up.

For what we know right now, the jailbreak isn't going anywhere. If not right now, iOS 10 jailbreak will most probably be released in the near future, since other hacking groups might be working on it as well. This is it for now, folks.
