Galaxy Tab S3 Performs Just as Fast as the Galaxy S7, According to Benchmarks-December 2024
Dec 28, 2024 12:50 AM

Previous specifications leak of the Galaxy Tab S3 revealed that it was housing a Snapdragon 820, giving us hope that Samsung wasn’t compromising in outfitting components that would deliver a higher level of performance from the tablet side of the company’s business. According to a leaked benchmarking sheet, the upcoming slate has performed near-equal to the Galaxy S7, which is regarded as one of the best and fastest Android flagships of 2017. With smartphones getting incorporated with much better hardware, this is something fresh to look forward to.

Leaked Benchmarking Sheet Shows That the Galaxy Tab S3 Might Feature UFS 2.0 Storage Coupled With Faster LPDDR4 RAM

The model number identified in the benchmarking sheet is a Galaxy Tab S3 SM-T825 and also features an LTE modem (via Tablet Monkeys), suggesting that Samsung is going to be announcing two variants down the road; one that will allow cellular connectivity and one that will not. The impressive thing about the benchmarking sheet given below is that the Galaxy Tab S3 performs at nearly the same speed as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which you don’t see often since phone manufacturers are focusing on these smaller computing devices than tablets on account that the market has been kinder to them.

From our previous specifications leak, the Galaxy Tab S3 is said to feature a Snapdragon 820, the same SoC present in both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, with 4GB of RAM complementing the processor plus 32GB of onboard storage. Just like its predecessors, you should see a MicroSD card opening to allow for further storage expansion and the screen size according to the leak is 9.6 inches when measured diagonally.

A tablet with a larger screen will be able to accommodate a larger battery capacity and unless we’ll be seeing another hardware leak in the future, our guess is that Samsung is going to limit the Galaxy Tab S3 family to a single screen model, all the while incorporating LTE connectivity in a completely different variant for a slightly higher price tag.

There is no release date provided for the tablet, but we’ll keep tabs on it and inform you on the latest developments. Hopefully, the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is going to take place during the MWC 2017 trade show.
