One of the biggest gripes against HTC Flyer upon its release was that it was running Gingerbread rather than Honeycomb which is specially designed for tablet use. While HTC made sure Gingerbread would be appropriately redesigned for tablet use, and while it did work for the most part, a proper tablet oriented OS is still hard to beat. A few weeks ago we hinted at a possible August release date for Honeycomb update and while that day is now a goner, it seems as if we'll see the Honeycomb update for Flyer after all.
A leaked ROM containing the latest version of Honeycomb is now available for download. Download it only if you're willing to cope with bugs and instability as the ROM is intended for development use only. However that's not the point here. The point is that this leak hints at bigger things, that Flyer will definitely get the Honeycomb update soon.
