Despite Niantic's best efforts, the game has seen a massive drop in daily traffic compared to the days when it was launched. To put things into perspective, Pokemon GO currently has 5 million daily active players, with that number falling slowly as time movesforward. Compared to its big launch, Niantic saw up to 30 million active users per day. That's a huge number for a game that wasn't even available in that many regions.
It seems highly unlikely the game will go back to its original fame from last year. And if Niantic manages to pull off such a thing, it would be nothing less than voodoo. Still, let's see what tricks the company has up its sleeve to win back players in the days and months to come.
