Mark Gurman states in his latest report that Apple is working on a wide array of features related to health and blood pressure monitoring, and sleep apnea detection will be part of it. The blood pressure sensor will notify an upward trend and offer a journal to detail what happened or the reason for the shift. The feature will also extend its functionality and recommend the user to contact a doctor.

At this stage, blood pressure monitoring will not give users a numerical value but will detect an upward trend. However, future versions of the technology can be built on top of it to provide detailed health metrics. Besides blood pressure monitoring on the Apple Watch, the company is also working on a new sleep apnea detection feature. The feature will consider a person's breathing pattern to determine if they have the condition.

While Apple is working on a blood glucose monitoring sensor for the Apple Watch, it might take a few more years to arrive. The feature will be based on non-invasive technology, which will use a laser to detect the level of glucose in the blood. Similar to how blood pressure monitoring works, the blood glucose will consider several factors to draw results. However, these are mere speculations at this stage, and the company could offer an alternative method to detect blood glucose levels.

As mentioned earlier, Apple is heavily investing in bringing health-related features to its existing products. For instance, the company plans to bring hearing aids to the AirPods lineup next year. The company is currently testing the feature, which will potentially arrive next year. The company also plans to transform its forthcoming Vision Pro with meditation features. The company is yet to introduce a FItness+ app for the headset.
