Apple's release of iOS 12 beta 5 to developers last Monday provided details on a lot of different aspects other than just the software. Previously, a new iPad Pro icon was discovered along with images of the new wireless charging case for AirPods, support for dual-SIM support on future iPhone models and more. Now, there's more to the story as the beta also contains iconography of the bigger 2018 iPhone X Plus (via). So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.

The leak was discovered by 9to5mac's Guilherme Rambo who has a pretty solid track record in terms of leaks. This could most certainly be Apple's first official confirmation that its gigantic iPhone X Plus is coming. The iconography of the iPhone X Plus hidden in iOS 12 beta 5's PassKitUIFFoundation which is responsible for storing the iOS wallet user interface. Nonetheless, we now have a clear indication that a bigger iPhone is on the way.
The iconography discovered for the iPhone X Plus in iOS 12 beta 5 is a little different compared to the current iPhone X icon. The representation shows a taller and wider model. However, the device does carry the same notch that houses all the necessary sensors for Face ID.
In addition to this, the depiction of the bigger iPhone could possibly be altered and refined in the coming days before iOS 12 is released publicly. Nonetheless, we should always be open to the notion that the icons discovered could be errors from Apple's end?
