AMD's Radeon R9 290X flagship graphic card is supposed to launch this week but a few websites accidentally posted the review of the card on their sites today. The complete review of the R9 290X by Hardware.info was leaked which provides us a list of gaming benchmarks showcasing the performance of AMD's next generation graphic card.
AMD Radeon R9 290X Review Leaked Ahead of Launch
We have already got to see how well the card performs at4K and Eyefinityresolutions against the similar priced GeForce GTX 780 and a detailed lookat the overclocked performance which looks impressive just yesterday. You can even see theCrossFireX performanceresults which were leaked just yesterday showcasing the impressive scaling with two of the Radeon R9 290X GPUs.
From previouslyleaked information, we know that the AMD Radeon R9 290X features the flagship Hawaii XT core with 2816 Cores, 176 TMUs and 64 ROPs. It has a 4 GB GDDR5 memory which operates along a 512-bit memory interface pumping out 320 GB/s bandwidth. The die measures at 438mm2housing6.2 Billion transistors which provide a theoretical compute performance of 5.6 TFlops.
The card features a long cooler shroud that features ablower fanwhich pushes air towards the internal heatsink equipped withaluminumfins. Thealuminumfin heatsink block is featured on top of a large copper vapor heatsink block. Display outputs include Dual-Link DVI, HDMI and a display port while power is provided through an 8+6Pin connector.
The PCB features a 5+1+1 phase (5 Phase Core/ 1 Phase Memory/ 1 Phase PLL) VRM design featuring the Copper MOSFETs, CPL chokes and the IR 3567B PWM chip. Thememory modulesfeatured as SK Hynix built labeled with the H5GQ2H24AFR-R0C part with a maximum data rate of 6 Gbps. There are 6 modules in total which represent a 512-bit/4 GB GDDR5 memory.

Note - The card has tremendous wattage and produces alot of heat. The new PowerTune algorithm helps keep the temperatures down but only at the cost of higher noise which makes the blower fan runs at 100% speed that is really loud.
